Has Sarah Palin Become a Rainmaker?

The former governor of Alaska is batting 1,000 so far in backing candidates in various state Republican races.  Her latest wand is being waved over former Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel. She heads for the voting polls Tuesday, July 27.

Palin's nod to Handel has helped her surge to the top of the polls in recent days, according to The Huffington Post.

Palin's endorsement of Handel - the lone woman in the race who could become the state's first female governor - swiftly helped change the dynamic, the Post reports.

Handel had been attacked throughout the campaign as too liberal.  Palin's backing - she called the former secretary of state a "pro-life, pro-Constitutionalist with a can-do attitude" - was seen as a conservative seal of approval.

Handel is just one of several candidates around the country recently endorsed by Palin, John McCain's running mate during the 2008 presidential campaign.

The Post reports Palin is largely credited with helping South Carolina Rep. Nikki Haley, once little-known in her state, surge to popularity and ultimately a runoff win for the GOP nomination for governor.

Palin may not go far herself in the 2012 presidential election but does she have the Midas touch right now in supporting GOP women politicos?

Are voters listening to Sarah and voting for her choices?

What do you think?
